The Lanna Kingdom and Isan region of Northern Thailand are two of the oldest inhabitated regions in the Kingdom that is Thailand. Both areas have been inhabitated one way or another since the Bronze Age.

The Isan region in the Northeast of the country is predominately populated by the Lao people while Lanna in the North has a predominate population made up the Thai Yuan people. Both cultures whilst being Thai do have many differences including language and cultural beliefs with not the least being the differences in cuisines.

The riding on this trip will be 98% grade AAA sealed roads with around 2% being grade AAA unsealed roads ( no more than 1 hour at any time on them). You will be able to handle all of the surfaces you will be riding on with no special skills apart from the basic ability to ride a motorbike. We will be riding through a variety of different geographies during the 2 weeks of this ride, from the hills and endless curves and twisties of the Lanna Kingdom to the gentle long straightaways and sweeping corners of Isan. Whatever your riding delight you are going to experience it on this adventure.

The ride is limited to strictly 10 bikes maximum and you have a choice of either a Honda CB500x, Honda ADV350 or Honda Forza 350 as your ride. All the bikes are perfectly prepared and maintained and will give you 2 weeks of trouble free enjoyment as we rack up just over 2800kms. There is an opportunity to secure a seat in the luxury van ( with driver) with a maximum of 2 other people for this trip as well.

Financials
The ride fee for this adventure is $2132 USD and this covers a perfectly prepared bike for 15 days including fuel and consumerables, a quality hotel room to yourself each night for 15 nights ( no sharing), airport transfer on arrival, National Park entry fees, 3 sumptuous and tasty meals a day and limited quantity of alcoholic drinks everynight.

If there is money left over in the "food kitty" at the end of the trip it is returned to every participant in an equal share.
If you wish to bring your own bike then the ride fee is $1592 which covers all the above except for the hire of the bike

A Deposit of $500 USD to be paid within 14 days of saying your are "going" secures your place on this adventure. Until you pay the deposit you are marked down on the event as "maybe" rather than "going". The first 10 people to pay their $500 deposit are guaranteed a bike on the ride. Pretty simple .The $500 deposit is NOT refundable in the event that you cant go.

 

A further $1000 USD is due and owing by no later than 1st November 2023. The balance of $632 USD is payable on arrival in Chiang Mai on or before the 2nd February 2024. This payment of $1000 is refunable less any costs that cannot be refunded to us such as bike hire, hotels , transfer fees etc etc.
